Teresa Vazquez is the Senior Director, Operations. Teresa originally joined ICSC in 2022 as the Director of Development and, in 2025, took up the role of Senior Director of Operations, overseeing development, finance, operations, and human resources. 

For Teresa ICSC is the only organization where you can work on the interactions of justice, innovation, and memory. Only at this intersection can communities address historical injustices, develop innovative solutions to current challenges, and preserve collective memory to catalyze future actions. 

Teresa is a dynamic leader at the forefront of justice, innovation, and memory, dedicated to uplifting individuals, communities, and policies that drive progress towards a more just society. With more than 15 years as an executive leader, she raised nearly $70M, reached nearly 12M+ people through multi-media truth-telling campaigns, and empowered hundreds of emerging social innovators to pursue justice. Earlier in her career, Teresa served as an economic development advisor in the Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg Administration, and advised nonprofits on growth strategies, deploying over $30M to spark local development. Teresa’s commitment to social justice began in college, where she co-led an international student movement aimed at combating prejudice and discrimination. A graduate of Vassar College and NYU’s Robert F. Wagner School for Public Service, Teresa also holds a certificate in management from Columbia Business School’s Institute for Nonprofit Management.

Teres is an avid quilter, a voracious reader, a Pilates enthusiast, and a devoted aunt.  When she’s not working in the Pilates studio or serving as an Uber driver for her niece, Teresa is in her quilt workshop, designing and sewing various projects while listening to audiobooks – which she insists is the only way busy people can read..
