Jobs and Internships:

Internships
Interns are integral to the work of the Secretariat of the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience. Interns gain hands-on experience in the fields of human rights, museology, and program management, and exposure to the methodologies and practices of Sites of Conscience. Internships are based in New York and typically last for 4 months, although a shorter or longer period may be possible. Interns participate in an array of activities including research (internet, library and telephone), program administration, and communications. Working knowledge of Spanish, French, or Russian is preferred.
Internships are unpaid. However, students are often able to arrange academic credit. Students should check with their individual academic institutions for requirements.

PROGRAMS INTERNSHIP

Together with the Coalition’s Program Directors, Programs interns work on an array of activities ranging from researching and compiling tools and approaches that historic sites around the world can use to foster public dialogue on contemporary issues; editing and writing program models; providing support to the Coalition’s member Sites; and assisting with the day-to-day management of the Coalition’s programs. We welcome applications from graduate students with a background in museum studies, human rights education, or peace education.
